Fire, Food & Folk Songs – Experience Rajasthan's Traditional Goth
In Jaisalmer, food is more than just a meal — it’s a way to celebrate life together. One of the most heartwarming local traditions is the Goth, where friends and families gather in the open desert or under the shade of trees to cook and share food by hand.
A Goth is more than cooking — it’s a picnic, a festival, a moment to slow down and savor life. When we invite you to join, you become part of our family for the day. Sit on soft rugs in the sand, enjoy the simple beauty of the dunes around you, and taste food made with love and old recipes passed through generations.

Traditional Dal, Bati & Churma cooked over a natural wood fire Cultural Experience:
Traditional folk songs, local interaction, and authentic desert hospitality
Good to Know
Every guest actively participates in preparing the meal using traditional methods. Dal, Bati & Churma is cooked entirely by hand over a natural wood fire, making it a true community activity. The experience includes the support of three local family members, who cook alongside you, share their traditions, and create a lively atmosphere with Rajasthani folk songs during the cooking. This is an authentic cultural experience, not a commercial cooking show, giving you the opportunity to connect with local people and experience their way of life.
