A very important procedure in Indian cooking is called tempering in English and Tadka, Baghar, chownk in Hindi. In Indian cooking when a recipe asks you to add any spice to hot oil or Ghee, the purpose is to extract the essence of that spice and create a new substance. Western Rajasthan which is formally known “Marwar” is very famous for taste and variety in food. During the weddings in Jaisalmer a big feast is organised which is called Jeeman. In Jeeman they serve some famous dishes from Jaisalmer food like Chana Chawal, Dal-Bati, Churma,Ghotwa ladoo, Jaisalmer’s chef has participated in all the big weddings of Bollywood and business tycoons.

Our chef and cooking expert Gudu and his family working as traditional chefs from last three Generation. Your food is made by you for you in typical way of cooking. We are pleased to invite the people at our home for cooking experience with family and have the delicious food from the roof top of the house with great view of Jaisalmer city.

     • Participants are encouraged to take part in the cooking process.
     • Basic hygiene and safety instructions must be followed.

     • Only non-alcoholic beverages are allowed, and smoking is not permitted during the activity.
     • All meals prepared will be pure vegetarian.
     • The menu will be decided in advance in discussion with participants.
